The Coalition envisions an open, transparent process in which all stakeholders have the opportunity to follow progress and provide feedback at each step. This page will include regular updates, public discussion papers, interim documents that require stakeholder feedback and input, and final deliverables.

Final Recommendations for the Licensing, Registration and Management of ORVs
After three years of working together, the Coalition for Licensing and Registration of Off Road Vehicles has completed its Final Recommendations for the Licensing, Registration and Management of Off-Road Vehicles in British Columbia. This document has been submitted to the key ministries and MLAs throughout British Columbia, and is available below. The Appendix 2 document is a compilation of the supporting documents to the Final Recommendations: The Options Report, Appendices to the Options Report, and the Public Review of the ORV Options Report.

Next Steps
The ORV Coalition has provided the government with copies of the Final Recommendations. An ORV Committee formed by the Provincial Government has representatives from the Ministry of Tourism Sport and the Arts (Chair), Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, Ministry of Forest and Range, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Small Business and Revenue, Ministry of Attorney General,  Ministry of Public Safety & Solicitor General, Insurance Corporation of BC, Conservation Officer Service, and  Integrated Land Management Bureau. This Committee is reviewing the recommendations and plans to give a formal response by Fall 2006.
